On February 5 - 7, 2002, the "Hemlock Woolly Adelgid Symposium," sponsored by the USDA Forest Service, Rutgers University, NJ Forestry Service, and NJ Department of Agriculture, took place in East Brunswick, New Jersey. Attending were Richard Pais, President of ECOSCIENTIFIC SOLUTIONS, Kathleen Polster, and John Casey. On Thursday, Mr. Pais presented his topic "Strategies for Managing Hemlock Woolly Adelgid in Forests."
